Super long camera slider with Arduino

A couple of weeks ago I created this fully mechanical camera slider https://properprinting.pro/fully-mechanical-camera-slider/ and this slider is electronically with an Arduino and a stepper motor. With this slider it is possible to move a lot slower than with the mechanical version. Another advantage is that it is possible to make a longer slide because the stepper motor can rotate continuously. However, the driver is getting very hot and I have solved this with a fan but a heat sink will probably do too.

The datasheet of the driver can be found here: https://reprapworld.nl/datasheets/datasheet%20drv8825.pdf
Some sources I used for making the Arduino code: https://arduino.stackexchange.com/questions/1013/how-do-i-split-an-incoming-string
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/42212189/start-and-stop-stepper-motor-using-serial-interface
https://github.com/laurb9/StepperDriver

The thing files can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3511794

I have created a video about this slider in which I show the process of making and the end result. Have fun watching!
