An Introduction

There is a very good chance that you’re here because you enjoy Jón’s work, but don’t always have the ability to watch his videos and find articles to be more convenient. As you can imagine, however, Jón is a very busy guy and he struggles to find the time to write those articles. So, he brought me in to help out.

Who am I? My name is Cameron Coward and I’m a freelance writer specializing in 3D printing and maker tech. I started working with 3D printers sometime around 2010 as part of my previous career as a mechanical designer. I finished my first book, Idiot’s Guides: 3D Printing, in 2014. Since then, I’ve written for publications like Hackaday, Hackster, the official Arduino blog, and Raspberry Pi’s HackSpace magazine.

I also have a YouTube channel of my own, Serial Hobbyism, if you’d like to check that out.

My goal here is to relieve some of the burden of Jón’s workload. I’ll write articles for the Proper Printing blog that recap the videos, while adding a dash of my own insight and flair. I hope to make these articles interesting, even for people who have watched the videos.

Thanks for reading and happy printing!
