In my attempt of making a food printer I decided to drive it with a flexible shaft. I still want the printer to be able to switch between tools so I made a detachable head which enables the shaft to be easily connected and disconnected. The connector has used some design elements of the custom connector I’ve made earlier.
It must be said that due to my failure of the stepper motor I wasn’t able to test this but the first signs were very positive! So keep in mind that things might change and if you run into any issues don’t hesitate to contact me.
