I started as a precision mechanist, attended mechanical engineering for a while and eventually ended up as an electronics engineer. A tool to get the job done

3D printing is ideally suited for turning ideas into reality. However, it’s just a tool to get the job done. A 3D printer on its own is not going to do much. It needs a design to print. A design starts with an idea that needs to be sparked. I can be that spark. I show that trying out new ideas, even if they fail, have two outcomes: either you learn new things, or you get new ideas. To turn an idea into a design, knowledge and skills are required. By sharing my experience, I help you to apply them to your own situation.

This over-engineered IKEA hack got out of hand!
Download Opera for free: https://opr.as/Opera-browser-properprinting In this video I show how I make the Creality K1, an already fast printer, even faster! It started with the problem that the stock extruder was unable to print and it had severe under extrusion. I didn't want this printer to be a glorified paper weight, so I decided to modify it so it would fit practically any extruder. I used the Bondtech QR which is a huge extruder which made it possible to really push that filament! This is different from an IDEX-system for instance. Where an IDEX is only independent in one axis, the system I developed is independent in all axes. Therefore I'm calling it the TIME-system, which stands for True Independent Multiple Extrusion. With this system it should be possible to print different parts in parallel, print a single part with multiple tools or combine totally different materials. I believe that this is the next step in 3D printing and we're going to discover the possibilities of this in future videos! I built an experimental 3D printer that could be groundbreaking!
In this video I show how I use an 1800W grill plate as a bed heater for a 3D printer. I think this makes sense because they're cheap, widely available and come in different sizes. Another advantage for me is the long shape which I'm going to utilize by letting it print like a belt printer and adding more gantries which will enable some interesting possibilities! I (mis)used the xTool P2 CO2 laser cutter for this project which I definitely can recommend! We built a guillotine! @VosAldo (Know Art on YT and Insta) had the idea to build a scale model to test different blade shapes and asked for my input. He forgot to mention that he wanted a scale model. Now we ended up with this huge contraption!🤣https://youtu.be/QRMH95-m8So

A guy called Chris reached out to me with this epic picture he took @OpenSauceLive, shot on a Nikkormat FT 35mm SLR cam. This is the moment were my friend @Lars2snap and I got the working solution, @3DGloop, from @awmayhall and were able to finish our print! So cool!
